How do you choose a haircut that truly works?

Precision copper bob, an example of a haircut designed around shape and hair texture

The right haircut depends on more than your face shape. It needs to work with density, texture, growth patterns and the time you want to spend styling it.

Begin with your real hair

A photograph can explain your taste, but it cannot show how your hair behaves. Fine, curly or very dense hair, and irregular growth patterns, all call for different strategies even when the desired silhouette looks similar.

Use proportions as tools

Volume, length and visual weight can lengthen, soften or sharpen a profile. They are not rigid rules for classifying faces. They are tools a professional relates to your features and presence.

Consider movement

You see a haircut while you walk, touch your hair or let it dry. Considering natural movement helps avoid a shape that looks good only when you leave the salon and is difficult to find again the next day.

Be clear about maintenance

How much time do you have in the morning? Do you use a hairdryer and products? How often do you want to return to the salon? A very precise shape may need more frequent appointments, while a softer structure may grow out more naturally.

What to bring to the consultation

  • One or two images of what you like.
  • An example of what you do not want.
  • Honest details about your routine.
  • The way you normally wear your hair.

The consultation turns these elements into a personal direction rather than copying a photograph.
